This policy explains how Sturts Community Trust ("SCT", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, and the choices you have. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies
Small files, simple purpose.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site function correctly, stay secure, and — where used — remember your preferences.
2. Cookies we use
What's set, and by whom.
We keep cookie use to a minimum, and use a cookie consent tool to ask for your permission before anything non-essential runs. The cookies we use fall into three categories:
Strictly necessary
Cloudflare Turnstile — when you submit our contact form, Cloudflare Turnstile sets a cookie to verify you're a real person and not a bot. This is essential to prevent spam and abuse of the form, and cannot be switched off if you want to submit an enquiry. It runs regardless of your cookie choices, as permitted by law for strictly necessary cookies.
Functionality (optional)
Google Maps — the map on our Contact page only
loads once you accept this category. Once loaded, Google may set cookies in line with
Google's own cookie policy.
CQC widget — the Care Quality Commission rating
widget in our footer only loads from cqc.org.uk once you accept this category, and may
set its own cookies under CQC's policies.
Analytics (optional, unused)
We've reserved this category in our consent tool for basic, privacy-friendly analytics. We don't use any analytics service today, so accepting or rejecting it currently has no effect — we'll update this policy if that changes.
3. Managing cookies
Your choices.
You can change your cookie choices at any time using the button, also available in the site footer. Declining functionality cookies means the Google Map and CQC widget won't load — you'll see a prompt in their place instead.
You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. If you block or delete the Cloudflare Turnstile cookie, you won't be able to submit our contact form.

Keeping this policy up to date.
We may update this policy if the cookies we use change. Any updates will be posted on this page with a new date.
